is an organization that began from a public health microbiology background over 70 years ago,
and now has representation from medical microbiologists, clinical microbiologists, infectious disease
physicians, laboratory scientists, medical technologists, laboratory managers, and research technologists.
hosts an Annual Meeting, which is designed to address the needs of health care professionals
specialized in the areas of infection control, clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. 2007's
meeting was CACMID's 75th Annual Meeting!
The program includes symposia, plenary sessions and presentations. Presentations are either in short oral
format or in poster format (please visit abstracts). Many social events, including Award presentations, are
part of the Annual Meeting.
