The BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) provides provincial and national leadership in public health through surveillance, detection, prevention and consultation and provides both direct diagnostic and treatment services to people with disease of public health importance.

The Clinical (Public Health) Genomics Microbiologist will work collaboratively within a team environment that includes the Public Health Laboratory (PHL) Medical Director, Medical Microbiologists, Clinical Microbiologists, other Senior Scientists, and Technical staff to build a genomics program that provides timely, accurate and innovative answers to public health questions.

The overarching role is to support the genomics/bioinformatics program by overseeing the development, operational implementation, and maintenance of clinical bioinformatics to support genomic testing and interpretation.
