On behalf of AMMI Canada and CACMID, we invite you to join us in Victoria from April 2nd to 5th for the 2014 Annual Conference.

The AMMI Canada – CACMID Annual Conference is THE Canadian meeting for physicians, microbiologists, researchers, laboratory technologists, as well as students interested in infectious diseases and diagnostic microbiology. Last year’s program in Québec City was a stunning success; the Program Planning Committee has been very active in creating a program that builds on the Québec meeting and the success of previous conferences while incorporating suggestions from our attendees, association members, and affiliated partners. There will be plenary sessions, integrated symposia, oral abstract presentations, poster sessions, exhibits, clinical vignettes, Trainees’ Day, CCM Workshop, QM Seminar and our Special Lecture. In addition, we encourage our collaborating societies and special interest groups to meet face-to-face while in Victoria. We would be pleased to assist by providing meeting space.

Victoria provides a beautiful venue for our conference. It is a modern city full of great restaurants and beautiful landscape underscored with old world charm. With the mildest climate in Canada, we anticipate great weather in April, an escape from the winter that may still be blanketing the rest of the country. Stay with us at the stunning Empress Hotel, living amongst history and the opportunity to partake in elegant traditions such as afternoon tea.

The AMMI Canada – CACMID Annual Conference 2014 in Victoria will provide you with the latest information in the fields of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology. Just as important, it will provide you opportunities to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, to meet new ones, and to network.

We encourage you to present your research by submitting abstracts for oral or poster presentation. If you are a student or trainee, there are a number of awards available to you. Build your presentation skills before an always friendly and supportive audience.

Come for the sessions, stay for the fun! We look forward to seeing you in Victoria in April!
