Halifax, Nova Scotia’s capital is a modern port city swarming with culture and heritage. Since the 1740s, when Colonel Edward Cornwallis established the first British military post, Halifax grew to become the Atlantic Provinces’ most prominent harbor cities. Nature has blessed the area with sandy beaches, colorful gardens and rugged shorelines.
